Payment methods

Type Currency Used for
Credit Card (via Stripe) e.g., USD, GBP, EUR Pay for collectibles when:
  1. To make purchases on the platform, a user must have at least one payment method added.
  2. To create listings and auctions, a user must have a crypto wallet added and must select a currency to use for payouts.

Platform currency

Users can select any currency to be displayed on the platform in all value-based fields.

Users can participate in auctions and buy items from listings with any currency. The seller’s payout is the result of conversion to their selected currency. Conversion rates are based on default fiat exchange rates.

Example: User A bought a collectible from User B. User A pays in ETH, and User B opted to receive payments in ADA. First, ETH is converted to fiat, and then fiat is converted to ADA. The payout is made in ADA.

Note that no chained on-chain conversion is required (ETH → fiat → ADA). Fiat is only used to calculate the final value. The actual conversion handled by the platform is ETH → ADA.

The payout model should factor in any fees, with the seller receiving a payment that deducts costs like mining fees or gateway commissions. Buyers using fiat should be charged Stripe fees when making a purchase.

Storing funds

The platform does not allow topping up or storing funds. All transactions and payments should be handled immediately, or as soon as possible.
